We are grateful for the support given by all our Partners
Dorset Youth Association
Dorset Youth Association’s reach across the county encompasses over 50 youth clubs and groups spread throughout rural Dorset; a busy Young People’s Advice & Information Centre in Dorchester; targeted work with children, young people and families focussing on health, sport and improved wellbeing; and informs over 300 professionals in the voluntary and community sector.
Dorset Youth Association has been supporting clubs, groups and individuals since 1943 and in 2013 celebrated its 70th Anniversary in the presence of HRH The Earl of Wessex KG GCVO.
As the need of young people in Dorset changes, Dorset Youth Association is evolving to meet these needs, through volunteering projects, national and international expeditions, emotional and practical support to remain in or further their education or find work opportunities, promoting equal opportunities and diversity, and providing the support needed to help inspire young people and raise their aspirations.
Dorset Community Forum
The Dorset Communities Forum was established to bring together Dorset’s voluntary organisations and communities.
The forum was established in September 2011 to identify and communicate the key needs of communities, to find solutions that help meet those needs and develop a collective voice for the voluntary and community sector.
Dorchester Town Council
Dorchester Town Council is the parish authority for the county town of Dorset, and was created in 1974. There has been a history of local government in the town dating back to Anglo Saxon times and Dorchester has been the county town since 1305. It has elected a mayor since 1629.
Casterbridge Rotary Club
The club is actively supported by the Dorchester Casterbridge Rotary Club
There are 1.2 million Rotarians in the world and we are all working to uphold the principle of our simple motto, “SERVICE ABOVE SELF”
Whether we are helping in a worldwide campaign to eradicate polio or providing Shelter Boxes following a disaster or, locally, in our own town of Dorchester, supporting a charitable group (or planting bulbs by the roadside!), our aim is to make life better whenever we can, and enjoy ourselves while we do it.
