WOW what a day! It was an event filled with smiling faces, loads of chatter and lets not forget to mention a huge amount of delicious cake; generously donated by our staff, volunteers and local supporters. However, young people definitely win the award for the best decorated cup cakes. Our Rotary volunteers supported us to run the whole event and we must note that the bacon sandwiches went down a treat.

The table tops were interesting and different ranging from a plant sale, beauty by Jeyda, Stella selling gorgeous jewelry and scarves (I couldn’t resist), book tables with amazing bargains, teddy tombola and Julia’s house selling all sorts of goodies…that’s just a snippet.

Imagine That who is a local business who run arts and crafts sessions for children got everyone involved in mask making and our very own Saturday Club crew had everyone making crafty creatures alongside all sorts of other arty stuff (we loved the bee’s). Festival face painting was a hit with children (and a few adults) with glitter galore and a few dinosaur faces were requested too.

We loved that the centre was filled up with familiar faces and new, of all ages and interests. The music studio was open for tours and we met a local man who was famous in the 60’s for his music and he is now thinking about how he can potentially share his skills and experience with young people – amazing!

So, thank you again to everyone who supported and helped to make it happen. Lets look to the next one.
